Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina is pleased to announce the lecture performance “Rad (umetnika)” by Danilo Prnjat, part of Summer School as School 2018 Public Program.

The aim of “Work (of the artist)” at Summer School as School 2018 Public Program is to open a discussion with the public on the topic of producing relations within todays situated work of young artists, having in mind that these fields are transforming more and more towards self-sustainability based on the work in creative industries, or producing specific type of goods for the art market (art collections).

The dialogue form is accompanied with examples of recent works by Danilo Prnjat will try to raise consciousness about the mechanisms through which all the dominant models operate. The purpose of the talk is to try to open up together and in collective new horizons of the art works which would imply work on emancipation and reproducing existing relations of domination based on exploitive of all kinds.

Danilo Prnjat (1982.) is a Montenegro (SFR Yugoslavia) born artist based in Belgrade, Serbia. He took a part at numerous art exhibition, art conferences and talks about art. He realized variety of (art) projects and workshops which are dealing the politics of participatory practice and collective work. In his work he is trying to overcome the existing boundaries of art and relation between art and social reality.
