In 2006 the artist, designer and art manager Albert Heta founded together with Vala Osmani, architekt and curator, Stacion-Center for Contemporary Art (Stacion CCA) in Prishtina, Kosovo. Stacion is committed to the re-creation of the necessary momentum for the advance and emancipation of the contemporary art scene and cultural environment of Kosovo. In cooperation with eipcp, Vienna Stacion has organized the workshop 'Cultural Policies as Crisis Management?' in 2006. The publication 'The way between Prishtina and Belgrade has 28000 un-proper build objects. So, never it will be an autobahn!' includes transcripts from the workshop and further texts, edited between 2006 and 2008. This publication will be presented on the evening of October 21 at Frankfurter Kunstverein.
The workshop was aiming to focus the cultural and political scene in Kosovo to understand the the political proces in Kosovo as an european process that concerns not only politics and politicians but also thinkers and culture workers.
The workshop also wanted to promote the recognition of cultural variety as starting point for a true political process consisting of dialogue and negotiations.
After an introduction by Vala Osmani, Boris Buden and Albert Heta will read texts of the publication.
