Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina is pleased to present the first solo exhibition by Alban Nuhiu.
Alban Nuhiu was born in 1980 in Presheva, Serbia. When he was two, Alban Nuhiu moved to Prishtina, Kosovo, with his family, where he attended both primary and high school. His particular interest in painting made him continue his studies for that field in the Academy of Arts in Prishtina.
Alongside paining, his profession develops through graphic design, photography, and video. This helped him make new experiences in graphic design and media at The radio Television of Kosova - RTK for seven years. Afterwards, after opening the café-bar “Tingëll Tangëll”, he was presented with the opportunity to create and run the culture centre “Tetris – hapësira manipuluese”, where he was one of the main sponsors of Tetris. Many cultural events took place in Tetris for six consecutive years, like exhibitions of paintings and photography, installations, theatrical performances, concerts, and other events. During this time Alban has also been working on various video materials, and the montage of a few short films and documentaries, at the same time, participating in various exhibitions of painting and photography.
