“On Monday and Tuesday, according to tradition, the hand-loom went to the slow chant of Plen-ty of Time, Plen-ty of Time; on Thursday and Friday, A day t’lat.” ( E.P. Thompson, Time, Work-Discipline, and Industrial Capitalism, quoting T.W. Hanson)

In this talk on Wednesday, I will look at textiles as scores, notation systems and material procedures, discussing anarchist poetry, the dominance of the optical and the roles of benches in the museum context.
